“We fell in love in a hopeless place”

March 24, 2012

Out of desperation over having crashed the car for not the first time but the SECOND time in one year, I decided that the only thing that would make me feel better was to stuff my face. Lucky for Gabby I had enough bad bananas to make two loaves that are allergy appropriate and two loaves that are Mommy needed.

We can all thank Nana for this delicious recipe.

Banana Bread
Recipe type: Dessert
Prep time:
Cook time:
Total time:
  • 1-1/2 cups flour
  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅓ cup veg oil
  • ⅓ cup milk (I used almond)
  • Mommy's version has half a bag of chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350. Stir dry ingredients in one bowl. Stir bananas, oil, milk and eggs in another bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet ones. Add chocolate chips. Put into greased pan (with a little flour). Bake for one hour.

Look at this picture…

No words necessary to explain how it turned out 🙂

  1. Oh Nana, you are the best baker. (Sorry, Heli….you are second. Although, a close second!) 🙂
