When a man and a woman love each other, they buy a car together. When a man and a woman love each other, they buy a house together. When a man and a woman love each other, they have children together. When a man and a woman love each other, they get a minivan to drive their kids around together.
And one day that woman crashes the minivan into that car, two possessions that came out of their love for each other. When a man and a woman love each other, the man forgives the woman for crashing the cars into each other. When a man and a woman love each other, the man ignores that there is blue on the white car and white on the blue car.

Sometimes, when this sort of thing happens, the woman – who might not be entirely sure the love will sustain such an infraction – might have claimed she has no idea why the red minivan is slightly bashed and has yellow paint at the dent and why the yellow mini cooper has red paint at its dent. Sometimes, all might not be forgotten until both cars are replaced. But that’s just sometimes . . .
I feel a little at ease knowing that it sometimes just happens. I’d like it to somehow just happen to be fixed, how does that work?
And sometimes a brother forgives a sister for backing into his car, but brings it up at every opportunity to pick on said sister…almost 20 years later. 🙂
G-d willing, my husband will remind me of this for more than 20 years…right?
It’s just a car…at least it wasn’t a person, right?!??!
I guess that puts it in perspective 🙂
