Memories

December 24, 2012

With the upcoming birth of our third child, I am always looking for a good way of charting our family’s developments. I’m not good with the whole scrapbooking thing. And given that Gabby’s baby book is far less filled than Drew’s, this third kid doesn’t stand a chance!

The nice thing about Facebook is that I’m able to document things in my kids’ lives with the use of my trusty phone, that is never farther away than my purse. One of my favorite pastimes (sad, I know) is going back and looking at all my previous posts from FB. The thing is that FB has so many other components – staying in touch with friends, posting my blog, etc., sometimes our milestones and pictures get lost in the sea of social networking.

A friend of mine came up with the idea for an iPhone app that allows you to keep all memories in one virtual scrapbook that can easily grow as your family and memories grow. I love the fact that my ability to save all these things are as easy as uploading to my phone, something I’m clearly very familiar with!!!

Memory Jar by Jebs Apps, LLC has revolutionized the world of keepsakes for me. You can read more about this app here.

There is nothing more important at this point than my memories, and the easier it is to capture them, the happier I am. That’s just my two cents on the matter 🙂
