Shear Genius!

October 19, 2011

From approximately 12 months until about 30 months are the tough times. They are the months where the child is starting to gain some independence – walking, feeding themselves, bathrooming, etc. And for those of us who have major germ issues, it can be really challenging to watch your children try these new skills out.

Drew had a hard time, well the plates were the ones who suffered, getting used to eating on plates in public. There were many broken plate snafus at restaurants. So once we realized that he could not handle eating from a porcelain plate, it meant he would have to eat off of the table. And there have definitely been enough restaurant exposes for me to know that they clean those tables with bacterial infested rags that hang out in nasty buckets. What’s a mom to do?

TABLE TOPPER!!!!!!!!!!!! Disposable place mats designed for you to adhere to the table and throw away when you are done! Genius! And the best part is that we were able to buy boy-friendly themes for Drew and embrace Pinkalicious for Gabby!!! At this point I should own stock in the product.

They also have nice disposable seat covers. I’m not sure there’s such a thing as truly protecting your child from germs in the bathroom because no matter what you do they seem to touch everything! However, every little bit helps. All their products come in a nice little pouch that’s easy to keep in your ever so crowded diaper bag.

Rest assure that dining out with a 12-30 month old is never going to be easy but Table Toppers help.
