Who Cares?

July 12, 2011

For the last few years, every time anyone breathed a word of Casey Anthony, Caylee or anything along those lines, I wanted to run the other way. And fortunately as years of the trial carried on, I was able to stick my head in the sand.

In recent weeks, it’s become impossible to ignore. Every channel you turn to is interviewing someone, debating the topic or advertising for some future programming where Casey Anthony is the main topic. What does a person have to do to escape the subject?

People have been violently expressing the wrongful verdict of Casey. Is there anyone else out there that is too appalled or disgusted to even open their mind to the specifics of the trial? Is there anyone else who cannot comprehend that she is not innocent because their brain cannot even go there? And if that’s the case, can we just agree that we should never discuss her or anything else about that precious little thing that hopefully is in a better place?

  1. As Moms, we can’t begin to comprehend how Casey could have wanted her daughter dead, let along actually killing her.
This is not a case that will ever go away. It’s been compared to the O.J. Simpson trial in the 1990’s. Those of us who followed it, will never forget it.
The same is true of Casey, only this is worse!
It makes me grateful for having a loving family and being a loving person. That’s about the best take away we can spread to others.
P.S. And now there will be a Civil Trial when the Nanny sues Casey for ??????defamation of character? More gripping TV watching and more opportunity to spread the gratefulness!
